The best advice I’ve ever had came from a tutor at college. She told me that the biggest obstacle to producing good design work was judging quality too soon.
The best approach, she said, was to churn out as much work as you could until your creativity was literally exhausted. And only then, begin the process of editing. It’s an approach that’s always helped me avoid creative block.
A short while ago we asked our Facebook followers what was the best piece of advice they’d ever received, and they didn’t hold back…
So, we’re opening the question up to a wider floor: what’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Do you agree with any of our Facebook commenters? And finally, what’s the best piece of advice you could give another designer?
